Gramola (jukebox) is an audiovisual piece created for Rodrigo Cuevas’ exhibition at LABoral Centro de Arte in Xixón..

Gramola allows visitors to interact with Rodrigo through a touch screen. A series of provocative questions about the artist provide different ways to engage. The audience guides the direction of the conversation, and the system responds with various audiovisual insights into the artist’s life and work.

Both the physical structure of the piece and the software designed for audience interaction were custom-created by Rotor Studio exclusively for this project.

Rodrigo Cuevas is arguably one of the most original and undefinable figures in the Spanish music scene. He fuses traditional folk music with genres like electronic music, humor, sensuality, and social critique, turning his performances into a uniquely branded cultural and sensory experience.
