march 10 and 11, 2018
WHOM IS AIMED.
Everyone who has an interest in the Unity platform and believes that it can be useful for their projects, creative or functional. Audiovisual art, installations, architecture, designers, interactive designers, etc.
In this workshop we will delve into the world of video game development and interactive experiences with Unity3D. We will combine this powerful tool for the creation of video games with visual recognition programs or hardware and we will have the possibility of incorporating physical interfaces into our projects to create unique and complete experiences.
After an introduction with Engine and the development of videogames from a more classical perspective, we will approach the world of interactive by reviewing techniques such as augmented reality, hybrid or virtual; tracking of objects or brands, interaction with devices such as Arduino, or communication protocols such asOSC o TUIO.
With everything seen and learned, we will devise a small project to be carried out during the workshop, incorporating the different techniques and technologies to create an experimental video game.
We will finish with a showcase / final sample of the ideas and the status of each project.
Saturday 10- Morning : introduction and first steps of Unity. During the first morning we will familiarize ourselves with the Unity interface, with the basic concepts and the elements that make up a project (gameobjects, prefabs, components …) and write our first scripts in c # to control elements in scene.
Afternoon : introduction to computer vision and hardware with Unity, brainstorming and sketching of ideas. Sample of projects that use these technologies. Then, with the seen and learned a project to be done during the rest of the workshop will be considered.
Sunday 11- All day: Development of the prototype.Throughout the day prototypes will be developed, solving possible doubts in the development and integration. At the end of the workshop there will be ashowcase / final sample of the ideas and the status of each project.
