WHOM IS AIMED
Aimed at anyone who has an interest in programming PYTHON language applied to TouchDesigner software and believes that it can be useful for their projects, creative or functional. Audiovisual art, installations, architecture, designers, interactive designers, etc.
It is not necessary to have previous knowledge of programming to understand the course, on the contrary, it is specially designed for TouchDesigner users without programming knowledge who want to take advantage of the many possibilities that Python opens.
This course is aimed at people who already have previous experience with the tool, but who want to go a step further by custom programming PYTHON scripts. Students will acquire a basic-global knowledge of the Python programming language, its history, characteristics, installation, etc. through a tour of its most essential parts. The course is aimed at people who have no previous experience in programming, with continuous mini-practices that will make the student practice and internalize each concept presented.
– Touch Designer and Python (10 minutes).
– What is Python? History and characteristics (20 minutes).
– Python in the TEXPORT / DAT scripts. (45 minutes)
– Fundamentals of PYTHON: (5 hours)
-Practical exercises of:
Basic types of data.
Special types of data: lists, tuples, dictionaries.
Objects and classes.
Management of exceptions:
Input / Output of files.
– Importing external modules. (1 hour)
– Mini-final project (45 minutes)

Kike Ramírez (Granada, 1979) is a Telecommunications Engineer specialized in the design and development of interactive experiences. He currently lives in Madrid and combines his work as Director of Innovation at Fullsix Spain (http://fullsix.es/) with the technical direction of the traveling festival Punto y Raya Festival and his work as an associate professor at the European Institute of Design in Madrid .
